Patient satisfaction with outpatient medical examination and treatment services at An Binh General Clinic, Cu Jut District, Dak Nong Province, 2024

Objectives: To describe the level of patient satisfaction and analyze factors associated with satisfaction with outpatient medical examination and treatment services at An Binh General Clinic, Cu Jut District, Dak Nong Province in 2024.

Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study using a mixed-methods approach was conducted. The quantitative component included 240 outpatients surveyed from January to August 2024 using a structured questionnaire. The qualitative component consisted of nine in-depth interviews with one clinic manager, eight patients, and one focus group discussion with five healthcare staff. 

Results: The overall patient satisfaction rate at An Binh General Clinic was relatively high (88.1%). Satisfaction was significantly associated with age, education, and occupation (p<0.05), and influenced by health workforce management, infrastructure and equipment investment, and the use of information technology in service delivery.

Conclusions: Outpatients at An Binh General Clinic expressed high satisfaction with most aspects of the healthcare services. The clinic should further improve service quality to meet the expectations and satisfaction of all patients.
